An immigrant who came to this country as a child, Lloyd is proud that his family has achieved the American Dream. Nearly 2 decades ago, his family made Santa Ana home, where they have since fostered a deep passion for education and helping our community.
As a small business owner, Lloyd cultivated his passion for service and giving back. Helping others inspired him to pursue various community service and leadership roles within his community at local nonprofit groups. Lloyd understands that education is the foundation of our society, and that the youth of Area 2 deserve schools that will give them the tools they need in order to thrive, especially within a constantly changing and technologically driven economy. The School Board must do better for parents, educators, school staff, government officers, and nonprofit organizations to collaborate in providing the necessary support and materials to build an environment of continuous learning.
As a resident of Area 2 for 16 years, and with a grandson attending school in the district, Lloyd has a deep personal connection to the community that drives his desire to give back and serve on the school board. In addition to his personal connections, Lloyd’s professional experience as a successful small business owner for 16 years and his extensive work performing different roles in several nonprofit organizations have equipped him with the necessary skills to lead the community and fight for education.
Lloyd fundamentally believes in the transformative power of education in creating opportunities and improving lives. He is committed to ensuring that the youth of Area 2 have schools that prepare them for a bright future.
